Mugen's Awakening

Before I start my Artist's comments, let me say this: D.Gray-man chapter 208 was amazing. It really was... And instead of one picture that HAS to be done, I found a several panels that are worthy of being redrawn and coloured. But thanks to my lovely LiveStream audience's choice, this was the first one.
And boy, am I happy with the final result! Mugen was a pain to colour, but I'm sooo happy with how he turned out. I'm also quite grateful for Hoshino and her Assistants to tone it so well, I probably would not have been able to shade it so detailed it if weren't for them (nor would I have ever (re)drawn this).

Gosh, I love this scene. Shows just how powerful Kanda really is. In those three pages, I just stared at him in awe. : 0
I find it amazing that Kanda seems to have come in terms with himself and what he is... He no longer is the Second Exorcist named "Yu", but he is the man "Kanda Yu" who chose to become an Exorcist. *sniff*
(Don't worry, I was just as much in awe with Lenalee... but this is Kanda, you know. )


This picture is completely redrawn and contains no material from the original image anymore. Mugen was done lineartless and Kanda was done with lineart.
