Mei: (at 7 am) Goodmorning, daddy! Mommy said it was your special day today!
Kanda: (came home from a mission at 4 am) *grumblegrumblegrumble*

Happy father's day! 8D (albeit 2 hours late... I don't mind. I finished this sketch two weeks ago. |D)

I think its pretty obvious that this is Kanda Yu (D.Gray-man) and his daughter Mei (OC, btw).
Though her full name is Mei Lian (美莲), which is Chinese for Beautiful Lotus (if I am to believe that one site), she usually goes by the name of Mei.
And on a bright sunday morning, she's way too cheerful for her exhausted daddy. :X


This was originally a pencil sketch, but I cleaned it up and coloured it in Photoshop. :3
Also drew some extra lines here and there, or changed some minor things.

I find it hard to draw children, let alone put a certain age on on them... I asked someone and they said Mei looked to be around 5-6, which would put Kanda in his late 20ies.
